God moves in mysteries.
He strides across the ages,
and writes his grace in human histories.
And when we turn the pages,
in His light in eternity:
we'll smile and dance
to see there was no chance,
and no god of dreary distance
ruling by the whim of variance --
but providence, close and kind and Fatherly.
